The grand pipe organ was set aglow as the sun cascaded through the beautiful stained glass windows, rumored to have been created by John La Farge, a one-time rival of Tiffany's in the world of stained glass.

SAS outreach programs begin
December 15, 2019
As soon as we began work in our studio our focus was on reaching out to our community. We started by visiting several affordable housing developments and conducting special glass ornament painting classes for the children and some parents. Each family received a hand blown ornament and were able to take home two or three ornaments that they painted. In January we visited a local nursing home and conducted a flower painting class. We are planning to expand this program in the coming months. If you have a non profit charitable organization please call us if our programs can benefit your community.

Message from the board president
January 1, 2019
Welcome to Sanctuary Arts School. We are just getting started and we are looking forward to expanding our programs and reaching many more people in the new future. This is just the beginning. Our goal is to have a community arts center located in downtown Shreveport that will bring international artists and students to our community. Students will take courses and create artwork and be taught by internationally acclaimed artists. Many will stay and live in artist lofts and occupy artist studios. We will eventually have a great impact on the economic health of the new arts district in downtown Shreveport, so please join us on this great adventure. Donate! Support us! Volunteer. Thanks for your interest in SAS!
