Meet the People Behind the Work

ERIC HESS

Co-Director / Artist

International Stanislav Libensky award-winning Glass Artist
Eric Hess originally hails from New Orleans.
He received a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Glass
from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). His work
is in the permanent collections of the National Liberty
Museum in Philadelphia and the Museum of Decorative
Arts in Prague, Czech Republic. He has exhibited in
Europe and the United States and taught at UTA. . Eric
specializes in Sand Casting Glass and Kiln Casting.
He was the recipient of the Visionary Scholarship from
the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass, Harvey &
Bess Littleton Scholarship at Penland School of Craft,
Scholarship to Pilchuck School of Glass and recently
was the winner of a Stanislav Libensky International
Award, which was presented in Prague. This coming year
he will be exhibited in the Museum of Glass In Tacoma,
Washington. He has curated several exhibitions at
museums and galleries throughout the Gulf South and
lectures frequently. Eric recently curated a special
"Summer of Glass Exhibition" at Shreveport
Regional Arts Council's Artspace.

TRISTEN HEBERT

Studio Assistant

Tristen studied glass at Tulane University where he received his undergraduate degree. He is presently attending Law School at Tulane. He visits with us on the weekends to assist us in our studios. We thank him for his assistance!
